Tokyo, Japan – A leading mobile overseas remittance service in Japan, winner of the 2021 Good Design Award, with access to one of Japan's largest ATM networks, Smiles Mobile Remittance is proudly announcing the continuation of its highly popular program “One Million Smiles” for the fourth consecutive year. This heartwarming initiative continues to build global connections between Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families while providing support to the Filipino community.

Building on last year's success, Smiles continues to target customers in Japan, Singapore, and Canada. A major feature of this year’s program is that 5 Smiles points will be donated for each remittance, and Smiles will match this donation, doubling the impact of all remittances.

Main highlights of the 2024 program:

1. Support for 100 families :

Smiles Mobile Remittance will once again partner with generous customers to donate care packages (support supplies) to 100 impoverished families in the Philippines. Local government authorities in Bulacan will also support this initiative by delivering these care packages to families in need, making this effort a true community activity.

2. Early Christmas Care Packages (Ayuda):

In the spirit of sharing, Smiles Mobile Remittance Philippines and its dedicated community will distribute early Christmas grocery packages (Ayuda) to 100 families. These donations will provide essential support to the poorest families in the Philippines.

3. Today's Lucky Donor:

Starting from September 15, 2024, one “Today’s Lucky Donor” will be selected each day from among those who made remittances the previous day. The chosen donor will participate in the distribution of care packages as a representative of Smiles, and their contributions will be featured on Smiles' social media channels.

4. Double the impact of donations:

From September 16 to December 25, for all remittances made during this period, 5 Smiles points will be donated to the program. Smiles will also match this amount, doubling the contribution to families in need.

5. Global community engagement:

This program invites customers from across Smiles' global operations, including Japan, Singapore, and Canada, to participate. By sharing heartwarming moments through photos and videos, Smiles aims to unite the global community and spread joy.
