Japan, Tokyo — On the weekend of May 27-28, 2023, the Latin America team of Japan's leading mobile remittance service "Smiles Mobile Remittance (Smiles)" participated in the "The Caribbean Latin America Street 2023 Event" held at Sumida Park (near Tokyo Skytree) in Sumida Ward.

This event was aimed at cultural exchange between Central and South America, Caribbean countries, and Japan, providing a valuable opportunity for Smiles to connect with many visitors from around the world. At the venue, we introduced the latest services and features in Spanish, as well as organized enjoyable activities that left a lasting impression on the attendees.

Thanks to the sponsorship of local businesses and community organizations, a diverse group of people gathered at the venue. The Smiles team actively engaged with the Spanish-speaking community, proposing services that allow them to send money conveniently and affordably to their important family members abroad.

Moreover, in addition to introducing services, we planned a "Dance Challenge" to enhance the festive atmosphere. Participants passionately showcased their dance moves, embodying the famous quote by the queen of Latin music, Celia Cruz, "La vida es un carnaval" (Life is a carnival).

At the Smiles booth, attendees from various countries such as Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Japan, the United States, and the Dominican Republic visited. Some even traveled from distant prefectures to enjoy this cultural festival.
