Tokyo, Japan, April 17, 2025 — In March 2025, the Smiles Mobile Remittance India team had the honor of participating in two Holi festivals that brought color, culture, and connection to the Indian community within Japan.

"Holi Milan" in Ibaraki Prefecture

On March 23, 2025, "Holi Milan" held at the Shree Ram Mandir Bando in Bando City, Ibaraki Prefecture, became a heartwarming gathering of the Indian community in the region. Holi, which celebrates the arrival of spring, is known for its vibrant colors and the message of "unity". Even far from home, many Indian families gathered, threw colored powder at each other, danced, laughed, and shared stories, recreating the spirit of Holi here in Japan.

"Rang Barse" in Tokyo

Meanwhile, on March 30, 2025, "Rang Barse" was celebrated in Tokyo, organized by the INCC Tokyo community. This event was also a Holi celebration filled with traditional music, food, and colorful play. For the Indian community living in the Kanto area, this event became a cultural bridge, an opportunity to feel closer to their homeland.
