Canada, Ontario – On August 20 and 21, 2022, in North York, Ontario, Digital Wallet Canada Ltd. and Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada – Philippines participated in the street festival "Taste of Manila" in collaboration with the organizer, International Entertainment Company.

"Taste of Manila" made a comeback after a hiatus, including a break of about two years due to the pandemic, inviting many people from around North York to experience Philippine culture.

Manuel Arnaldo, the President of Digital Wallet Canada, stated, "People have been looking forward to the hosting of Taste of Manila. We estimate that the number of attendees exceeded 150,000 this time."

Many attendees who visited with friends and family enjoyed the aromas and flavors of Filipino cuisine, vibrant and attractive products displaying cultural items, and the excitement of Philippine entertainment.

Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada – Philippines participated in Taste of Manila alongside the Filipino-Canadian community. Booths were set up at the venue, serving as a place to maintain relationships with existing customers and build deep new bonds with new customers.

"We were able to inform many people about Smiles Mobile Remittance," Mr. Arnaldo added.

The "Taste of Manila" street festival was initiated in 2014 with the mission of providing an opportunity for Canadians and Filipinos residing in Canada to experience Philippine culture, cuisine, entertainment, products, and services.

Following the clear success of this event, Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada – Philippines hopes to participate in next year's event and will strive to strengthen relationships within the Filipino-Canadian community.
