Red Deer, Alberta, Canada – On June 11, 2023, the first-ever "Red Deer Philippine Fiesta 2023" was held at the Festival Hall. This event was organized by the United Filipino Entrepreneurs Association (UFEA) Red Deer chapter and received overwhelming support from local Filipino entrepreneurs. The Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada-Philippines team proudly sponsored this event, showcasing a significant presence throughout the festival.

Under the leadership of the Red Deer chapter president, Alexis Tolentino, UFEA successfully gathered over 3,000 members in a short period. Business owners from various industries in Red Deer enthusiastically registered as UFEA members and actively participated in the event, making it a grand celebration of Filipino culture.

Vendors participating, including Smiles Mobile Remittance, were very satisfied with the results of the festival. In particular, food vendors experienced extremely high demand, with many vendors selling out before the event ended. UFEA member vendors from neighboring cities like Calgary and Edmonton also participated, showcasing their products and services.

Among the booths that were not food or merchandise-related, the Smiles Mobile Remittance booth attracted the most visitors. The team interacted with many participants throughout the day, answering questions and providing information about remittance services.

In response to the success of this "Red Deer Philippine Fiesta," discussions regarding future expansions of the event have also begun. Many attendees expressed a desire for extended hours and larger venues to accommodate the growing enthusiasm and support within the Filipino community.

This fiesta not only celebrated Filipino culture but also embodied the spirit of "bayanihan," which represents the idea of supporting and helping one another. This important trait of the Filipino people was evident throughout the event, leaving a profound impression on all participants.
