Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture – The remittance service "Smiles Mobile Remittance" (スマイルズ・モバイル・レミッタンス), which is most utilized by Indonesian workers in Japan, participated in a collective prayer event for Eid al-Fitr (the festival marking the end of Ramadan) held at Kayaba Park in Yokohama, reaffirming its support for the Muslim community in Japan. About 2,000 people gathered for this event, which was conducted in a solemn atmosphere, fostering a strong sense of solidarity.
As part of its support, Smiles provided free original goods, as well as technical assistance and funding for the smooth operation of the event. Additionally, this funding from Smiles indirectly supports the construction of the "As-Sholihin Mosque", which aims to become a hub for the religious and social activities of the Muslim community around Yokohama.
Smiles' Commitment to Supporting the Muslim Community in Japan
As one of the most widely used remittance services by Muslim workers in Japan, Smiles continuously supports various activities that deepen the bonds among Muslims. Our participation in this Eid collective prayer is part of our mission to positively impact Muslims living far from their homeland.
The As-Sholihin Mosque is expected to serve not only as a place of worship but also as a center for education, social, and cultural activities. With the support of various stakeholders, including Smiles, there is hope that the construction of the mosque will be completed soon, bringing great benefits to the Muslim community in Japan.
Smiles Mobile Remittance: More Than Just a Remittance Service
As a service that always puts customers first, Smiles not only provides quick and safe remittances but also actively engages in meaningful social contribution activities. Support for religious events and mosque construction embodies Smiles' compassion towards the Muslim community in Japan.
Smiles strives to continue being a service that builds meaningful relationships with international communities, rather than being just a financial service.
