In November 2024, the "Philippines Festival 2024" was held at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, where Smiles Mobile Remittance served as the main sponsor and the largest booth exhibitor, adding excitement to this momentous event. Thousands of visitors gathered to celebrate the vibrant culture, music, and cuisine of the Philippines in the heart of Japan.

One of the major parts of the two-day event was the search for this year’s carnival king and queen, the street dance competition, and the singing competition, where the crowd was enchanted by dazzling costumes and performances.

At this year’s festival, the Smiles booth became a central attraction at the venue. With one of the largest spaces secured, Smiles staff and the mascot Tori warmly welcomed visitors. Many of the "Smilers" who visited the booth enjoyed not only consultations about remittance services but also exciting mini-games with exclusive merchandise and luxurious prizes.

Additionally, the Smiles Philippines team reiterated the appeal of their fast, safe, and convenient mobile remittance service to both new users and long-time customers.

Special Guest: Gabby Concepcion

The highlight of this festival was the appearance of Gabby Concepcion, the top Filipino star and global brand ambassador of Smiles. When Gabby appeared at the Smiles booth, the venue was filled with enthusiastic fans and visitors.

Through photo opportunities and interactions with fans, Gabby delivered a heartfelt message about how Smiles supports the Filipino community in Japan and connects families. His overwhelming presence made the Smiles booth the most vibrant spot during the festival.

During the festival, Yoyogi Park was filled with pride and joy for the Philippines. Smiles is not only providing remittance services but is also fully committed to activities that strengthen the bonds of the Filipino community.
