Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada – The Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada-Philippines Team of Digital Wallet Inc. proudly sponsored and participated in the "2023 Mosaic – A Festival of Cultures" organized by the Philippine Association of Saskatchewan (Philippine Association of Saskatchewan, Regina Corp.). This event was held on June 2nd and 3rd in Saskatchewan and captivated a diverse audience.

The Philippine pavilion, set up as part of the festival, became the most visited pavilion among the 17 participating countries. The daily visitor count reached approximately 4,000, making the pavilion a space for cultural exchange and celebration.
The highlight of the event was a performance by the "Maharlika" dance group, showcasing various traditional Philippine dances. The audience was captivated by elegant performances such as "Pandango sa ilaw," where dancers skillfully balance lit candles on their heads and hands. However, the most applause was received for the "sayaw sa banko," a dance performed skillfully on long benches.
In addition to the captivating dance performances, visitors also enjoyed a culinary journey through Philippine cuisine. The aroma of Filipino-style stir-fried noodles, spring rolls, and lechon (roast pig) filled the pavilion, and guests reveled in the delicious dishes while immersing themselves in the rich cultural experience of the Philippine pavilion.
The sponsorship of this event by the Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada-Philippines Team further emphasizes the company's commitment to promoting cultural diversity and maintaining meaningful connections within the community. By supporting the "2023 Mosaic – A Festival of Cultures," Smiles Canada-Philippines demonstrated its dedication to preserving and sharing the vibrant traditions of the Philippines.
