Group Operations Officer

Profile

In her previous role at an IT company, she served as the group leader of the Finance and Accounting Group, overseeing company-wide accounting and financial management. After joining Digital Wallet in 2019, she took charge of overall finance and accounting operations within the company. In 2023, she was appointed Executive Officer and has since been working on strengthening and enhancing the back-office structure in line with the company’s growth.

Building a career in accounting from the ground up,
turning hands-on experience into a key strength.

── Could you tell us about your career so far, what led to your career change, and why you chose Digital Wallet?

At the time, one of the directors told me that they were looking for someone with accounting expertise, which led me to decide to join Digital Wallet. I was also strongly drawn to the international environment, where members with diverse backgrounds come together, and I wanted to be part of this team.

── What kind of work are you currently responsible for?

Basically, my main responsibilities involve tasks related to the flow of funds. In addition, I also support service-side operations and customer support.

── How has your past experience been useful in your current work?

I believe that having a solid understanding of accounting and finance is one of my strengths. At the company I joined after graduating from university, I was assigned to accounting work despite not knowing the first thing about it. During my first and second years as a working professional, I attended a night school for bookkeeping while learning accounting operations on the job.

Looking back, I truly feel that this experience continues to benefit me today. Becoming strong with numbers directly connects to sales and management, and it has been extremely useful in making daily forecasts as well.

── When do you find your current work most interesting?
And how would you describe our workplace environment and company culture?

I feel a great sense of growth in seeing team members, regardless of age or nationality, share their opinions and work together to achieve results. Those are the moments that make me excited about the future.

As for the workplace environment, both the employees and the office itself have a bright and open atmosphere. I think one of the company’s biggest strengths is its culture, where people can connect and collaborate freely without barriers of age or nationality.

── As part of the veteran generation, what do you see as your role and the expectations placed on you?
Also, what do you consider important in the way you interact with younger colleagues?

I always try to keep in mind that I want everyone—both veterans and younger members—to enjoy their work. That’s why I put effort into creating a positive team atmosphere. A “team” can take many forms: sometimes it’s the group you work with directly, while other times it’s not related to specific tasks. In any case, when communication flows smoothly and relationships are positive, members can share their honest opinions more freely. This naturally sparks a positive chain reaction—higher motivation and, ultimately, stronger performance.

I also make it a point to join workations and company club activities, which give me a chance to hear the real thoughts of younger colleagues. One time, I actually broke a bone after getting a little too enthusiastic during a ski club activity. Everyone was very concerned for me, but after I recovered a few months later, it became something we could laugh about together. To me, that really shows the friendly and comfortable atmosphere of this company.

── Finally, what do you see as the biggest appeal of this company?

I believe the greatest strength of this company is that employees from different nationalities share the same drive to grow together, without any barriers. There is a culture of embracing diversity and making the most of each person’s unique strengths. Because this culture has become a natural part of the company, each individual can work in their own way while the team as a whole demonstrates even greater power.
