From May 30, 2026, to Jun. 1, 2026, the fourth annual Nepal Festival & Mini Expo 2026 Nagoya, organized by NRNA Nagoya Japan, was a resounding success. For three days, the Smiles Mobile Remittance Nepal team had the chance to connect face-to-face with a massive turnout from the local and Nepali communities in the area as the Main Event Partner.

A massive turnout
The annual event turned out to be one of the largest Nepali community events held in Nagoya, with roughly 10,000 participants. Visitors were able to enjoy a wide range of Nepali cultural performances, live entertainment, traditional dances and authentic Nepali food stalls. The festival provided a unique opportunity for both Nepali and Japanese visitors to experience Nepal's culture in one place.

Making a bold "Smiles" impression
One of the biggest highlights from the weekend was the strong brand presence. The energy at the Smiles booth attracted many attendees, offering games and other activities to bond with them. It was a great opportunity to engage with the loyal existing customers while welcoming many new faces to the Smiles family.

Gratitude to the community leaders
An event of this scale is only possible with a strong foundation, and the incredible support Smiles had received from Nagoya’s Nepali community leaders played a massive role in the event’s success. Local authorities and organizations, including Aichi Prefecture Governor Hideaki Omura, demonstrated strong local support and recognition at the event.

Looking ahead to more events
The Nepal Festival & Mini Expo 2026 Nagoya may have come to an end, but Smiles’ commitment to the Nepali community in Japan is stronger than ever. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a smile and made this weekend unforgettable.
