Digital Wallet Corporation and Pag-IBIG Fund Partner to Support Filipinos’ Financial Futures

Partnership

TOKYO, Japan — September 8, 2026 — Digital Wallet Corporation, a global IT and fintech company and the operator of Smiles Mobile Remittance, has entered into an agreement with Pag-IBIG Fund (Home Development Mutual Fund) to create greater financial opportunities for Filipinos living and working abroad.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Eiji Miyakawa, Founder and CEO of Digital Wallet Corporation, and Atty. Marcial C. Pimentel Jr., Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Pag-IBIG Fund.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting hard-working Filipinos around the world and helping them build a more secure future for themselves and their families. Digital Wallet Corporation is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Pag-IBIG Fund and looks forward to combining their strengths to create greater financial opportunities for Filipinos living and working abroad.

During the signing, Mr. Miyakawa shared his observations from learning about the lives of Filipinos living abroad. He noted that many Filipinos dedicate much of their earnings to supporting their families, often leaving little for their own savings and retirement. He emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for Filipinos to also invest in their own financial future.

Atty. Pimentel highlighted Pag-IBIG Fund’s commitment to helping Filipinos build financial security through savings and programs that support their long-term goals.

Pag-IBIG Fund offers programs designed to help members build savings and achieve long-term financial goals. These include Pag-IBIG Regular Savings, Modified Pag-IBIG II (MP2) Savings and affordable housing loans.

For Digital Wallet Corporation, the partnership also marks an important step in its continued global expansion. Smiles Mobile Remittance recently launched in the United States, adding to its existing presence in Japan, Singapore and Canada. As Smiles grows its presence in new markets, the company aims to provide Filipino communities abroad with digital financial services that help them stay connected to home while working toward their financial goals.

The agreement brings together Pag-IBIG Fund’s financial programs and Digital Wallet Corporation’s digital technology, with a shared vision of helping Filipinos around the world build a brighter and more secure future.

Representatives attending the agreement signing included Ms. Maria Solidad C. Liboro, Corporate Executive Officer III, and Atty. Eduardo L. Labo Jr., Acting Department Manager III, from Pag-IBIG Fund, and Mr. Efren Dancel, Head of Business Development, and Ms. Macrine Comendador, General Manager for Business Development, from Digital Wallet Corporation.
